Wolverines

Captain - Sangrim

Sangrim is the war-bands Captain and one of our smiths, when not lopping off heads with his great sword or his glaive he can be found in the forge creating armour and weapons fit for a Wolverine. He is also officially the Lions 'Captain of the Camp', responsible for camp security.

When Skarn's leadership ended, Sangrims peers were quick to identify him as the man to continue to lead the Wolverines.

Sangrim has been with the Wolverines for a couple of years and in this time he has established himself as a vital battle tactician, especially during combat.

Champion - Skarn Von Ulfwere

Son of an Albion bar wench and a norse raider. At an early age he found the Wolverines and was accepted into their number, he rose through the ranks eventually becoming the warbands Captain.

Skarn reformed the Wolverines, served his term as Captain and has now returned to the rank of trooper. Skarn is one of the last few original Wolverines to still be active, many others retiring from the mercenary life altogether.

Skarn has returned to the ranks after his term as the warbands Captain

Daolyth

There are very few things in the world that are quite as unsettling as the white masked face of Daolyth looming out of the darkness and heading towards you. All the while a strange scratching follows in his wake.

The noise, is his sharpened quill scribbling furiously on parchment. The content of that script can make the hardiest warrior tremble, especially when you notice the excited glint in Daolyth's eye. Eyes that have observed the slaughter of many many beings of many different races ('lesser races, the curious unimportant ones' Daolyth mumbles).

You see Daolyth simply finds slaughter fascinating even more so, when he's stood knee deep in blood with his Wolverine comrades.

Leonides

Leonides, son of Xenophon hails from the Graecian province of Thessaly. He received the teachings of Ares, the Graecian Ancestor of War from his father.

Leonides became a great warrior, living and breathing warfare and battle strategy.

Eventually he left his homeland to seek out a warband worthy of his skills to honour his ancestor with his battle prowess.

Eventually he came across the Wolverines.

Erik 'Red-mist' Blackthorne

Erik is Sangrim's father. He's a wise, sensible man and in times of peace he is one of the warbands few voices of wisdom.

But....in times of war Erik falls into a 'red mist' frenzy becoming a blood thirsty nutter, who loves nothing better than teaching "those yung uns' a bit o' spect".

Erik joined the Wolverines after getting news of the warband from his son.

Erik is respected by all of the Wolverines, as basically we're all scared of him.

Einaar 'the black'

A fierce norse warrior, as a boy Einar was sent from the shores of his homeland to protect him from a vicious bloodfeud. Since then he has travelled the span of Edredja and forged a reputation as a fearsome mercenary warrior. Einar has been in many companies but never tarried long before... his idea of excessive drinking, wenching and debauchery has frightened even bloodstained warlords and so his welcome has always been short!

Now Einar has found a home amongst a group of warriors for whom "excessive" has a meaning much closer to his heart!

Often known as Einar the Bragger, he is a great storyteller and will accost anyone he can find with tales of the far off land of “Amorica” he claims to have discovered.

Ragnar

Vargon

Raised as a healer, and cast out from his home village for being ‘rather rough’ with two thieves who broke into his temple, Vargon spent four years as a mercenary healer and learning how to fight.

One fateful evening, he just happened to be sitting in the same tavern as the Wolverines when someone knocked Skarns pint over. After a vicious and heated battle, Sangrim noticed Vargon tending to one of the Wolverines wounded, and offered him a place as the Wolverines newest healer. Vargon, mindful of the fact he was talking to the only group of survivors from a particularly bloody fight, quickly accepted.

Now Vargon can usually be found right with the Wolverines in the thick of the fighting. Wielding his twin swords, standing just behind the shield wall ready to either attack the first opening, or drag a wounded Wolverine off for some quick healing and a few words about ‘slacking on the battlefield’

Obsidian

A wanderer cast out by his clan not long after reaching manhood due to his womanising and drinking. For the next few years he wondered the lands looking for some money to pay for his next load ale and women. Always short of coin, the only things keeping him ahead of death are his knowledge of magic and his ability to react to situations seemingly by pure chance.

One day he spotted bar fight in full flow and decided that it could be a good place to thieve some gold from the unconscious fighters. Unknown to him the wolverines were in this fight and he attempted to loot the wrong body.

After barely managing to get out of the pub alive he came back later to enquire about joining the legendary Free Company to see about getting some steady income.

Nowadays he’s usually seen in a pub attempting to catch the eye of a wench whilst drinking the hours away until he runs out of money or is called upon by the wolverines to earn his keep.
