Daolyth's story

Daolyth

Like most of his elven kin Daolyth is possessed of considerable intellect and more than a passing sense of his own self worth compared to that of the lesser races. In spite of this, Daolyth finds the lesser races fascinating and has been conducting an extensive study of the various species which he eventually intends to compile into a magnum pous entitled; "The Lesser Races and The Curious Manners in Which They May Die."

While he acknowledges that this is something of a specialist piece, Daolyth expects it receive a decent circulation especially in research circles and the specialist press. Torturers Monthly (the premier publication for the 'hands on' Inquisitor) has already expressed interest in running extracts of the completed work as a regular column.

However, for the study to be as comprehensive as possible, Daolyth has to see an awful large number of the lesser races die. This in itself does not bother him, indeed it is what he looks forward to most each day, but the sheer logistics of getting to see as much useable material as possible did get very tiresome. Realising that it is far easier to be on site for a particularly interesting death if you are party to said demise (and being far too keen on self preservation to engage in too much data collection at a personal level), Daolyth went in search of a suitable group of research partners.

To date the Wolverines have proved to be exemplars in the field of inhumation and not so precious about their work that they mind Daolyth pitching in. His furious note taking in the aftermath of battle is considered a little unusual, but his enthusiasm for slaughter means he fits in nicely.
